A male reader, moneyman United Kingdom +, writes (14 March 2007):

First of all i'd claim back all that maoney that is owed to you. You can claim on all your bank accounts where you have incurred charges for the past 6 years.

You can do this yourself, but if you want guidance and help through the negotiations then try a company like mine a href='http://www.iwantmychargesback.co.uk/I Want My Charges Back/a. We offer a very personal service. If you shop around pay very close attention to the fees being demanded.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (19 January 2007):

There is now a precent that has been set in the courts which now says you can claim any charges back from the banks for up to the last 6 years. Seems to good to be true but it is.

There's information and a pre-written PDF letter on the bbc website somewhere.
