Hi
You can do babysitting and also you can do any spare jobs that are in your area. Try and have a garage sale, cake sale etc. You can try and get someone to sponsor you the money as well.
Good Luck and i hope everything works out for you.

Many people do it, not to save for a trip to Australia but, because they must. It is a permanent thing. I am not trying to be sarcastic, but for a short term money increase for what you plan, it is a good option. Unless you are really good at judging horses and how fast they can run. Or could you whip out a good screenplay / novel on short notice?

I am pressuming you live with your parents because out of the £250 you earn each month you would have to pay for living costs if you didnt.
How about trying to strike up a deal with your parents, maybe asking them to give you cash for certain jobs you do or double some of the money you save.
Taking on another job??
If you do not save the amount you need i wouldnt worry too much, while in australia get a job maybe?
Good luck and i hop it all works out

Are you any good at dancing? If so, how about doing belly dancing in a reputable restaraunt to entertain family or couples out dining? If that's not your scene, how about putting an advertisement in 'The Lady' magazine under Situations Wanted? Just list some of your talents that could be sought after by potential employers and watch the offers pile in! All the best to you! I went to Australia when I was 19 for a year so I appreciate how you feel about finance! Hope you're not offended by the belly dancing idea? I just saw a girl on You Tube doing belly dancing and she said that she'd love to do that dancing in a classy restaraunt! Take care!
