I have a problem, when I was in college I used credit cards for everything. Then I fell behind and everything went downhill from there. I have been trying to get my credit score up I pay all my bills on time and I still see no change. Any suggestions? My score is 565, which is not good how can I make it go up?

Pay off all debt & stopping using card. Keep them open, but stop using. they changed the way they used to keep score and report. they used to give you credit for charging a lot and then paying it off.

Now, a credit card company can report your balance at ANY time of the month. if they report when you OWE, you look like you have huge balabnce and Credit Card Company (CCC)can charge more money. If you stop using them, the CCC will report no debt each month because you have none. your credit will go up slowly.

Get a copy of your Credit Report from ALL 3 major companies, if you tell you were denied a card, they have to give you report for free. check for debts you don't own or you paid but haven't been updated.

last, don't apply for anything. It used to be, the more credit, the better the credit. IF your score goes up and you have a no balances & you apply for card, cell phone, someone checks into your credit to see IF THEY WANT TO GIVE YOU credit/car loan (you didn't ask them) it will lower your score. No, you can't control companies from checking on you. It's unfair. Last, NO ONE can fix your credit, it's a scam!
